CordUIs

Cord UIs are sensory-augmented cords that enable intuitive and metaphor-rich interactions for interfacing with connected devices. We employ cords as input devices and explore various interactions, such as tying knots, stretching, pinching, and kinking, to control the flow of data and/or power.
Additionally, we examine how objects can be used in conjunction with augmented cords to manipulate data or adjust properties of a device. These interactions draw heavily from the metaphor of viewing the cord as a water hose, with electricity and data symbolizing the flowing water within that hose.
